Puppy Mill Awareness Day a Huge Success

What a fabulous day we had at the shelter today! Over 150 people showed up for our Puppy Mill Awareness Day event and so many dogs adopted from our shelter over the last few years came for the adopted dog parade. Kudos to volunteers Elaine Ficcardi and Judy Ambrose who spent so many hours planning this successful event.  Many of our other dedicated volunteers also helped out and it was both a fun and educational day.  We know the first step in eliminating the puppy mill industry is to educate people on what a puppy mill dog is and the hideous conditions these breeding dogs live in for their whole lives.  Please don't buy a puppy when millions of dogs in shelters are euthanized every year.
